Features

What should a text to 3D model prompt include?

Start with one object and describe its defining shape, material, and style. Latheo creates a reference image from your words, then uses that image to generate a 3D model. A focused description gives the workflow a clearer starting point than a long scene with several unrelated subjects.

From a written idea to a model you can inspect.

You do not need a photo to begin. Try a prompt such as “a ceramic desk lamp with a rounded base, a wide shade, and orange glaze.” Describe the features that make the object recognizable. The result is an AI interpretation of your idea, so review its shape before using it in a project.

Define the object first

Name one main subject, then add its proportions and distinctive parts. A low wooden chair with a curved back gives more direction than furniture for a room. Keep the prompt focused on the asset you want to download.

Describe a visual direction

Specify materials and a style when they help communicate the shape you have in mind. These details guide the intermediate reference image; inspect the final model rather than assuming every prompt detail will survive the conversion into 3D.

Inspect in your browser

Rotate and zoom into the generated model without opening another application. Look at the back, underside, and small features as well as the front. An appealing preview angle does not tell you how every surface has been generated.

Export a GLB file

Download the completed model for compatible 3D software and viewers. Check its orientation, scale, and geometry in your destination tool before including it in a scene. Save the prompt alongside your file if you want to explore another version later.

How to use

How do you create a 3D model from text?

This page opens the same Latheo generator as the homepage, with Text to 3D selected. The initial model is an interactive example. Your generated asset replaces it when processing completes.

  1. 01

    Write your prompt

Describe one object with a clear silhouette and a few important details. Start with a simple form for your first attempt. If you have an existing reference instead, switch to image input in the same workspace.

  2. 02

    Generate the model

Select Generate 3D model. Latheo prepares a reference image from the prompt and generates the model from it. Each generation uses 100 credits. Keep the page open while the result is being processed.

  3. 03

    Review and download

Inspect the result from several angles, then select Download GLB. If an important shape is missing, make that feature more explicit in your next prompt. Each new attempt is another generation and uses additional credits.

Use cases

When should you use text to 3D?

Text input is useful when you have an idea without a reference photo. It helps you explore an object's form before spending time on detailed modeling. Use the generated asset as a starting point and assess what your project needs next.

Explore product concepts

Describe a lamp, vessel, or furniture concept to see a possible form in three dimensions. Review the proportions and discuss changes with your team. The generated model does not provide measured engineering dimensions or manufacturing specifications.

Try creative props

Turn a written description into a prop for an early game or scene experiment. Check and optimize the mesh in your modeling software before production use. Generation does not guarantee animation-ready topology or a watertight model for printing.

Choose text or photo input

Use text when you want to invent a shape or explore a style. Use photo to 3D model when you already have an object picture to guide the result. Both routes share the browser viewer and GLB export workflow.

How much does text to 3D model cost?

Each model generation uses 100 credits. Check your available balance before generating. When you need more attempts, choose from the same credit packs and subscription plans available on the Latheo homepage.

FAQ

Text to 3D model: common questions

Check how prompt input works, the available free credits, and the download format before creating your first model.

Can I create a 3D model without uploading a photo?

Yes. Select Text to 3D and describe your object. Latheo first creates a reference image from your prompt, then generates a 3D model from that image. You can inspect the completed result in the browser.

Can I try text to 3D model free?

Guests receive 100 credits per month, subject to the shared guest allowance. New accounts receive 100 signup credits. Each generation uses 100 credits, so you can try the workflow while you have enough available credits; further generations require more credits.

Which model file can I download?

Once generation succeeds, select Download GLB beneath the browser preview. Latheo exports the generated model as a GLB file. Review the asset in your destination software before using it in a production project.
